Happiness is keeping a promise.
Last year the Metropolitan Opera announced they would be doing Porgy and Bess this season. I had seen a smaller opera company perform it in Utica, New York many years ago, but I had never been to the Met and decided to do my best to make this my first Met experience. 4 February I was able to keep that promise to myself. I spent 3.5 hours in awe of the incredible singers, dancers, and musicians who brought this Gershwin production to life. Bravi tutti!!!!!! (Click on any image for a slide show.)
