This is irony: when the exhibit I curious but not passionate about seeing ends up being the one to set my artistic soul on fire. “At War with the Obvious: Photographs by William Eggleston” did that to me, today. His photos are of everyday things, just like mine! I couldn’t get enough of his work; I made notes that will probably end up being a photoblog post, and I went through the exhibit 3 times before wandering through some of the others. I ended the day by admiring 3 Vermeers, one of which I’d not seen. Not to mention the 200 photographs I made. I feel as high as a kite!
