Her Voice

“Come on, you have to tell me! Stop teasing!”

“Why? You’re cute when you’re curious you know.” Mya patted Kay’s head, laughing when Kay smacked her arm.

“Tell me the truth: what did she smell like when you hugged her?”

“I don’t remember.”

Kay pouted. “You’re lying.”

“No I’m not. You know how I feel about her. I was too nervous to notice how she smelled.” Mya smiled at the memory. “But I can tell you this much: her voice feels like sunshine and sounds like music.”
