Dr. Larycia Hawkins was recently placed on administrative leave by her conservative “Christian” university employer for wearing a hijab in solidarity with Muslims who are being persecuted for their faith and for suggesting Muslims and Christians pray to the same God. Now her students and thousands more are petitioning Wheaton College president Dr. Ryken and Wheaton College provost Jones issue a formal apology and reinstate her as associate professor of political science. Her show of solidarity touched my heart and led me to sign the petition. Please join me and thousands of others in voicing our support for her.
