I’m re-reading one of my paper journals and found this paragraph. I feel just as strongly now as I did then and am happy I have remained true to that statement. Little did I know that vow would become an important part of my own healing not long after I wrote it.
People’s lives are much more fulfilling when they are supported in being themselves, not punished for it. If who they are is not harming anyone, what is the big deal? I am going to spend my life affirming people’s right to be themselves and to have people around them respect and work with their unique set of personality traits.
