When I was in Philadelphia back in March I saw more than just the Liberty Bell. I also visited the National Constitution Center and Betsy Ross House. It was interesting to take a closer look at historical events and artifacts I remember hearing about as a child and hadn’t thought much about since then. United States history is problematic in many ways, but it is still important for me to at least have a passing knowledge of it.
