I remember this night. I was walking through the city with my first DSLR. I think I had recently been freed from a toxic work environment and had started carrying my camera with me everywhere in celebration. There are people in my life who love the musical “Rent”, so when I passed the theatre I made this shot. It’s hard to believe that was seven years ago. I knew much less about photography then than I do now, yet this is one of the best nighttime shots I have ever made. I was still shooting in JPG back then too. How time flies and how much I’ve learned since then.
Come to think of it, I hadn’t met my T yet either. A whole lot in my life has changed for the better in seven years.
