Contrary to what the above image claims, retailer Bath and Body Works is not giving away free $150 vouchers to ease us through these stressful COVID-19 times. Here’s how I quickly realized it was a scam within a minute of receiving the message.
- The link in the message is not to Bath and Body Works’ site. The URL to their real site is https://www.bathandbodyworks.com/.
- There is a whole article on the web about how this is a scam.
- This is how I quickly found the article I referenced above: Let Me Google That For You.
Healthy suspicion will help you prevent having your personal information stolen. Do your homework and don’t let yourself be played by these scammers.
