Tonight I’m thankful for a safe place to call home.

Our apartment complex is not likely to suffer power outages, though nothing is written in stone. The heat is almost too high here behind our double-paned windows. We have nowhere to go tomorrow, and I work from home, so I won’t have to give up a day’s pay to stay safe. I did all of course grocery shopping on Sunday, so our kitchen is stocked. If we get the munchies, all I have to do is pop into one of the 5 grocery stores within walking distance. So we are nowhere near stranded, praises be.

Please keep everyone who does not have these privileges in your thoughts. This storm is already a doozy, and it’s supposed to get much worse.
