Two things are clear to me after last week’s presidential election.
- Millions of people in our country are full of hate or are willing to overlook hatred in order to vote for a man who espouses it in various forms.
- My partner and I are surrounded by people who love and care for us. These people have reached out to me in social media comments and private messages to express their support for us and their horror of the election results. It’s been beautiful to behold.
In spite of the ugliness in so many people, I feel blessed.
