I’m going to start with the bad news, because then the good news will help dull the bitter taste it leaves.
- By now you have probably heard that Uganda has passed a law calling for life imprisonment for LGBT people and those who support them. Right after the law was passed, a local tabloid publicized a list of people suspected to LGBT. People have already died because of this unethical act. All Out is calling on corporations in Uganda to pull their advertising in that paper. Support your fellow human beings by adding your name to the petition.
And now for the good news.
- A man in India has revolutionized the menstrual supply market for those who need it most: women in remote villages. Read his amazing story on BBC News.
- The musical Annie has been played and replayed into the ground. But a new version is coming out this December that I actually want to see, for a change. It stars Quvenzhané Wallis, Cameron Diaz, and Jamie Foxx. Pop on over to Hypable to see the first trailer from the upcoming movie.
