I am an introvert. A warm, friendly, outgoing one, but an introvert nonetheless. I have had people criticize my introversion, and I have had people accept my introversion as one of the things they love about me. Because the world at large is set up to benefit extroverts, it is a good idea to talk more about introverts and how to relate to us.

  • Susan Cain gave a TED talk in 2012 about the power of introverts. A fellow introvert sent me the link to this video, and after I watched it I felt understood and proud of who I am.

  • Because the hallmark of introversion is the fact that social events are draining, networking can be challenging for us. Project Eve shared tips for Networking as An Introvert.

  • Finally, introverts and extroverts alike, when we network, when we get together at our social events, we need to be mindful of leaving the place better than when we came. These people unfortunately did not get that memo and ought to be ashamed of the mess they willfully left behind.
