A lot of you have come here from my final post on Tik Tok. Welcome to my virtual home!
As social media platforms change hands, TOS are updated, and platforms sometimes even disappear altogether (anyone remember Ello? Google+?), it occasionally becomes necessary to virtually box up your belongings and move elsewhere. The first time I remember doing that in any organized fashion was when LiveJournal was sold to a Russian company. I was concerned about privacy and creative freedom, so I bought my own web domain and began blogging there. The most recent time was when Twitter changed hands and became the cesspool known as ‘X’. Now that American Tik Tok users are to be separated from the rest of the world behind a red, white, and blue iron curtain, it was time for me to do it again. I deleted most of my content from the site (because why should I allow them to retrain their algorithm using my content), and I deleted the app from my phone. Thanks for following me here.
I had been using Tik Tok to share my photos nearly every day, but now I think I’ll share them on my photography blog, instead. It’s been quiet over there and could use a little more love from me. This blog will remain my home base, though, so you can always find me here. There are links to my photography blog, a couple of my digital shops, and even some of my writing. So have fun exploring!
