Cherry Hill: The Place to Be

A view of The Lake at Central Park from Cherry Hill. The San Remo (left) and Beresford (right) notable buildings can be seen across the lake on Central Park West. 2026 April 11. New York City, USA.

Central Park’s Cherry Hill is a favorite spot because of the cherry trees that bloom there and the view of the lake. It’s also very close to Bow Bridge, which is another favorite tourist spot. It was no surprise that on a gorgeous, mild spring day the hill was crowded with people basking in the sun, picnicking, and making photos of the amazing view. I stayed just long enough to make several shots of the scenery and people, then I continued my leisurely stroll to other parts of the park.
