I was in awe watching a thunderstorm approach us from the north. Bolts of lightning would occasionally split the sky, and one by one the mountain peaks disappeared as the storm got closer. Our boat docked well ahead of it, so we had plenty of time to make it to our car before the heavens…
As people watched from the beach or the walking paths (like us), the Lac du Saint Sacrement steamboat pulled back into the dock after taking passengers on a lunchtime cruise.
What are these purple flowers? They were really pretty from a distance. I couldn’t get any closer, because there was a fence, and I kinda like not slipping down a wall into the water while fully dressed.
We hung out at Lake George beach for a couple of hours admiring the view and watching rain clouds approach from over the mountains. When the rains arrived we ducked into a gift shop to wait it out before grabbing lunch and returning to our hotel to rest.
